What is Visit310SouthDakota?
After successfully visiting all 531 incorporated towns in Nebraska and all 939 incorporated cities in Iowa over the past two summers, I (Seth Varner, a junior in college at the University of Nebraska at Omaha) have decided to visit all 310 incorporated towns in South Dakota! The goal is to showcase much of what SD’s towns (big or small) have to offer and to document every town’s history, architecture, etc. through photographs for people to enjoy for generations. Not everything in every town will be photographed (I might miss the occasional park, church, business, etc.), but I hope to provide you all with a general sense of what each town may have to offer. At the conclusion of my travels, I will put together a book that will serve as a travel guide and log, history book, and living photo album all-in-one! It will essentially be the ultimate guide to South Dakota and will be a “must-read” for every South Dakotan.
Help support the promotion of small-town tourism by donating to the Wandermore travel fund. I share all of my photos/town posts on Facebook for free, so any donation to help me offset the cost of food, hotels, and the rising cost of gas is much appreciated. I have enabled a donation link after a few individuals expressed an interest in supporting my journey by donating funds. For every $5.00 donated, I will place one person’s name (at the donor’s discretion) in the back of the Visit310SouthDakota book upon its release ($10 = 2 names, $20 = 4 names, etc.).
