2025 | Fire Department Training
Earlier this week the members of the Langford Volunteer Fire Department participated in a training using the Jaws of Life. North Marshall Fire Department of Britton sent three firemen to Langford to demonstrate the proper and most efficient techniques while using this equipment. The Firemen from Britton were Darin Rohr, Brian Beck, and Garrett Thompson.
Jensen Auto Service and Ethan Allen donated cars to be used.
What is the Jaws of Life?
The Jaws of Life consists of hydraulic rescue tools that have the capabilities of cutting through cars quickly and allowing emergency personnel to remove victims from crashed vehicles. The most common rescue tools are cutters, spreaders, and rams.
The Langford community and surrounding area is very fortunate to have this resource local and readily available.
